Political Art by Mississippi Delta Artist Joe Moorman

I went to an all-white high school in the Mississippi Delta.  After that, I majored in engineering at Mississippi State University, where a good percentage of my professors still had 1950’s crew cuts. As an engineer, I worked in factories and plants and constructions sites, and now I run my own small-business. If I’ve had some sort of liberal indoctrination, I would like somebody to explain to me how and when it happened.

The books I read growing up weren’t “liberal revisionist history.”  In fact, the books I read could be described as the classics of the English language: Gibbon’s “The Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire,” Sir Winston Churchill’s “A History of the English Speaking Peoples,” George Orwell’s “Animal Farm,” The King James Version of the Bible, etc.

Right now the US has the lowest education level of all the industrialized Western nations.  It is no coincidence that we are also the only one of these nations to be debating the reality of Global Warming or whether or not to teach basic evolutionary science in our schools.  It is no coincidence that we elect politicians based on their views on abortion and gay marriage without any regard to their other policies.  It is no coincidence that our government is completely controlled by large corporate interests.
