“Study for Little Girls” contemporary figurative art

In this study, I can see what I what I would like to improve, and I am not referring to the fact that it is executed in a loose expressionistic style, which was intentional.  What I dislike about this painting is that I didn’t dilute the burnt umber with flow medium, and thus there is too much drag visible in the outlining.  I like to see color showing through from the layers underneath, but I don’t like the loss in color intensity that drag seems to produce.  I will be exploring more with dilutions and washes.
