“Rescuing Pickle from Blue Jays” Fine Art Painting

Here is the poem I am writing for this painting in “Riverson, The Painted Book.”

Darlene Rescuing Pickle from the Blue Jays

Darlene didn’t know about blue jays,
how they hunt in packs,
steal eggs,
chase away predators.
She didn’t know about blue jays,
but she did know about her baby,
and how he looked scared.
I’m not sure if Pickle needed rescuing,
but at least the neighbors enjoyed the show.
