“Red Mailbox” contemporary figurative painting

This painting is the color of light from a warm spring day we had when a front moved through.  There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and the light was too intense for the type of views I wanted out in the open fields and parks.  Instead, I went walking through the shade trees of some neighborhoods in Decatur and found some wonderful scenes like this one.
