“Fauve PawPaw” contemporary figurative painting

I was looking at the work of Martina Shapiro, and decided to try a little experiment and paint a fauve version of the picture I have of Pawpaw and Sam when he was a baby.  I don’t think the picture was very successful, but it did help me think about things from a more colorist perspective.
