A fossil of the republic that we once had.  Perhaps we should have insisted on accountability in our leaders.  Perhaps we had too many people that were willing to trust a president no matter what he did so long as he was against abortion and gay marriage.  Perhaps we had too many people that thought they could keep a war from being a mistake if only they hoped and believed hard enough.
