"Mardi Gras" contemporary figurative painting

The spirits in the floorboards rise up and remind me it is time.  An apartment in what was once a grand old house.  The old wood floor was there before interstates, before cable television, before McDonalds.  It is scuffed and stained from wine spilt decades before.
